Mac mini display to hdmi not working

Then I bought two official Microsoft adapters, one for VGA and another one for HDMI. No one is working. Blank display always and HDMI don't produce sound either. I've discovered than device manager shows "device not migrated" under monitors, even with the standard Generic pnp monitor from Microsoft.
